Queenshead Altea son tops €6,000

Limousin Premier in Roscrea

Topping the trade at €6,000 was the first bull into the ring. Baileys Edison exhibited by Thomas Bailey, Batterstown, Co Meath. Having stood second in his class in the pre sale show, Edison is by Tom's high profile herd sire, Queenshead Altea.

To date progeny from Altea has topped three sales including Baileys Elderado - a bull that sold at the October premier sale for €17,000. Altea is by the top Brittish sire Greensons Gigolo and out of the Ronick Iceman daughter, Ryedale Parfait. With five stars for weanling export and calving difficulty, Edison was eventually bought by Frank Harrington, Kilkelly, Co May.
